Willingness for Obedience!

In the midst of the hustle and bustle. We so quickly and unintentionally ignore the quiet, still small voice of the holy spirit. When this happens, we tend to miss out on blessings or intricate details of valuable instructions. These directions could keep us from falling into the next pit or it could guide us into an abundance of blessings. If only we yield to His voice.

The larger  question is even if we receive the guidance, are we willing to obey? My truth is I am realizing my answer has been it depends on what it is that God is asking me to do. How many of you can honestly agree? And you know what it is okay to agree with this. I have both of my hands up in agreement because there is no shame in growth. We have to get to the place of correction and change.

These are some questions I find myself asking when God tells me to do something. Here are some of the examples of the questions: How much of myself do I have to expose? How long do I have to go through this? Lord, I what am I needing to receive from this life experience. This is the question I recently had to answer, what or who am I willing to lose or release to be obedient to God? I’m sure some of you all have felt this same feeling.

Let’s talk about it. What is obedience?

Obey: to follow the commands or guidance of ... or to conform or comply with.   

Obedience: An act or instance of obeying.

What is being willing?

Willing: inclined or favorably disposed in mind. Prompt to act or respond. This is my favorite definition to be done, borne, or accepted by choice or without reluctance.

God has us doing only the things that allow us to move us from level to level and help bring people into HIS kingdom. Jesus intercedes for each one of us everyday. We have to make the conscious choice to be obedient. Obedience comes in different forms and trust me it is not always easy. In fact it can consist of some of the hardest decisions you will have to make. Honestly, you have to understand that everyone will not understand. But you willingness will always be rewarded in some way. As you know we have to put some word on it. 

Deuteronomy 28:9 KJV The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself. as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God. 

Moment of Transparency: This has been the hardest blog for me to complete yet. I have moved the publish date because it has been so much warfare for me to complete this message. However, God will have the Glory. God let's us know in HIS intentions for us to grow. As we know hind sight is always 20/20. We won't understand HIS ways and HIS will until we are past this circumstance. 

Remember: "Obedience is better than sacrifice." 1Samuel 15:22 NLT  "What is more pleasing to the Lord: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.
